Q: When does the travel season run?

A: The AVID travel season officially starts on August 1st and ends the following July 31st. Older teams break during this same timeframe to allow players to participate in the high school soccer season. Most teams are active between March and July each travel season.

Q: Where do AVID teams train?

Q: How often do AVID travel teams train?

A: Our team’s training schedule varies from team to team. Most teams are active from November through July each year. During winter, teams practice less, once a week, due to weather, daylight hours, and indoor training facility availability. During spring and summer teams practice twice a week on average; some may increase to three times a week leading up to a tournament.

Q: Where do AVID travel teams play tournaments?

A: Each AVID team has the flexibility to identify tournaments that best suit the team’s skill level, availability of brackets for matching age group or gender, or unique opportunity of location or college scouting. Q: How much does it cost to play for AVID Soccer Club?

A: Each AVID player is required to pay an annual club fee as set by the Board of Directors. This fee is currently set at $100. This fee covers services and fees incurred by the clue to provide carding of the travel team, players, coaches, team communication app, equipment, and operational costs. Travel tournament fees are invoiced to players separately and the cost can vary depending on the tournament but generally range from $50-$90.

A: Each individual team may elect to pursue whether to fundraise or not.
