Ready to take your game to the next level? AVID Soccer Club is holding tryouts for the upcoming season! We’re looking for passionate, dedicated players who are ready to grow, compete, and have fun in a supportive team environment.
We identify players through our tryouts, where players can be evaluated to see the best fit. Tryout eligibility depends on the player’s birth year and gender.

Q: Is there a fee to tryout?
A: No. Registration is free—fees are only collected once a player receives and accepts an offer.
Q: What are the age groups/genders?
Answer:
- Female: 2008 – 2017
- Male: 2008 – 2017
Q: How do tryouts work?
Answer:
- Players register for tryouts in TeamSnap.
- The club tryout details, dates, times, locations, etc. are on this webpage’s schedule section.
- Players are expected to arrive 25 minutes before the start of the session.
- Players are assigned a number for identification purposes.
- Coaches introduce themselves and provide an overview of the session.
- Coaches evaluate the player during one or two sessions (depending on team).
- Within one week from the last tryout date, you will receive a notification whether the player has been accepted to a team.
- If you receive an acceptance notification, you will have 72 hours to accept or decline.
Q: When should I arrive?
A: At least 25 minutes before the start time to allow for proper registration.
Q: What should be bring/wear?
- A: Cleats and shin guards (required)
- Soccer ball (properly inflated, usually size 4 or 5 depending on age)
- Water bottle (labeled if possible)
- Athletic wear (weather-appropriate, no club wear)
- Goalkeeper gloves (if trying out as a keeper)
- Positive attitude & ready-to-play mindset!
Q: Do I have to attend all tryouts?
Answer:
- We ask that all players attend both tryout dates. This allows the coaching staff a better opportunity to fairly evaluate the player.
- Please note: High school-age teams conduct a single tryout session.
- All players must attend at least 1 tryout to be considered for the club.

Q: When will we hear if we made the team?
A: Usually within one week of the team’s last tryout date.
