Coach Thoughts
What a great weekend our Crush girls had! We headed to Columbia, MD for their Fall Classic this past weekend. The fields and facilities there are fantastic, part of the attraction to head there as often as possible. After such a successful travel season last year we wanted to up the competition and moved up to the middle tier bracket for this tournament. And, we belonged there!!
We won our side of the bracket, going 3-0 through group play, advancing to the championship. We played incredibly hard but fell in the championship game to a very good McLean, VA team.
I’m so proud of our team’s effort all weekend. We continue to see great development and growth from our talented girls and they should be extremely proud of their performances this weekend!
As a team we have been working diligently on 1v1 skills and individual defensive containment. Our girls showed substantial growth in both areas this weekend! Keep hustling girls, the sky is the limit!
