The AVID Board of Directors is pleased to introduce Sasha Leasure as the new Fundraising and Sponsorship Coordinator for the club. Sasha will play a crucial role in organizing fundraisers and collaborating with community sponsors to support the club’s initiatives. With her extensive experience in various organizations, Sasha is eager to contribute to the growth and success of the AVID Club and Teams.
 
Outside of her new role with AVID, Sasha is a real estate agent at Coldwell Banker Premier. When she’s not busy with work, she enjoys traveling and tending to her garden. Sasha and her husband, Blaine, along with their two daughters, Berkley and Spencer call Frostburg their home. Berkley is a proud member of AVID Crush.

Social Media Coordinator Announcement

The AVID Board of Directors is thrilled to announce Jenna Windle as the clubs Social Media Coordinator! Jenna will be supporting the club by coordinating our social media outlets. Jenna is a teacher at Mt. Savage Middle School where she also runs the Drama Club. She resides in Frostburg with her husband, Scott, her two children, Lennon and Brielle, and her 4 dogs. Lennon is a member of the AVID Talons 2014 boys team who will be traveling to Walt Disney World to play in the President’s Day Soccer Tournament this month. Academy Coordinator Announcement

AVID Soccer Club is delighted to announce that Coach Mark Kowalski has joined us as the Academy Coordinator for our esteemed Futures Academy. Coach Mark assumed this role during the Fall session, bringing a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for the sport. Since relocating to western Maryland, Coach Kowalski has made remarkable contributions as an assistant coach for the Fort Hill High School boys soccer team. He also served as the head coach of the Fort Hill High School girls soccer team from 2018 to 2021, leaving an indelible mark on the program. Moreover, Coach Mark has dedicated numerous years to officiating and conducting clinics at the Cumberland YMCA, where he has spearheaded the development of youth soccer skills for kids aged four to eleven. We are thrilled to have Coach Mark as an integral part of our Club, and we wholeheartedly embrace his infectious enthusiasm and unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation of soccer players!
