The AVID Academy had an outstanding day at the Stormin Into Spring Indoor Tournament at Bedford Middle School. The Academy team went into the playoffs with the number 1 seed with a 3-0-1 record earning the top seed by goal differential. Unfortunately it wasn’t our day and lost to tournament champion PT Prime who we tied earlier in the tournament. The team played with great intensity and dominated possession of the ball all tournament long. The Academy has been working on their individual dribbling and their first touch skills. Many of our goals came off being able to handle the first touch and set themselves up for a high percentage shot. The team showed great resolve and excellent sportsmanship. The tournament raised money for Bedford Bison soccer program put together a fun competitive day of soccer.
