The Coastal Shootout in Federica, Delaware was a very nice and well-run tournament. The facility at DE Turf Sports Complex was outstanding. And the officials were great. Our games against the number 9th rated team in the state of Delaware, Delaware Futbol Academy, provided exactly what we were looking for. They are well organized and held their shape nicely, limiting us on 1v1 goal scoring opportunities. But in the end, the Talons proved to be the better team – out scoring Delaware Futbol Academy 9-5 in aggregate. It was great to see the kids come together as a complete unit. Bonding on and off the field is why we had success in the Coastal Shootout! I even learned a lot this weekend.
